We received the following request from Jeffery Morehouse of BacHome. Please send these messages to your senators if you are a resident of Maryland, Florida, California, or Arizona, and please contact others who may be able to help.
We need your help. Caroline Kennedy will have a confirmation hearing on Thursday to become the next U.S. Ambassador to Japan. We are working to get a specific question asked at the hearing regarding public action toward the return of kidnapped U.S. children. Getting this addressed at the hearing, I believe, will raise the attention level and have benefit for Parents of Internationally Kidnapped Children from all countries to and within Japan.
Senators Cardin (MD), Rubio (FL), Boxer (CA) and McCain (AZ) are expected to be there. They need to hear from their constituents.
1) If you are voter in one of those states, contact the staff person as noted in the templates below.
2) Contact your friends, family and supporters in these states and ask them to send an email to the senator’s office using the info below. Inspire them to do the same reach out to their network of friends.
A few minutes of your time can make a real difference in this!
Best regards,
Jeffery Morehouse

EMAIL SUBJECT- ACTION- Kidnappings to Japan & Kennedy Confirmation Hearing
Dear Algene,
I am a registered voter in Maryland. My friend’s child was kidnapped to Japan.
Last year Senator Cardin co-sponsored and helped pass S. Res. 543 on International Parental Child Abduction. Japan is specified by name three times for these ongoing abductions, which was more than any other country.
At Thursday’s confirmation hearing, I’d like to know what public efforts would an Ambassador Kennedy make to secure the return of the nearly 400 U.S. children abducted by a parent to Japan since 1994?
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
